MEMPHIS, Tenn. — In an impressive showing on Saturday night, Seth Henigan led Memphis to a commanding 53-18 victory over UAB, showcasing his skills with four touchdown passes.
Henigan’s third touchdown came early in the fourth quarter, a 2-yard pass to tight end Anthony Landphere, which allowed Memphis to pull ahead 32-11. This marked Henigan’s 20th touchdown pass of the season, reinforcing his record of throwing 20 or more touchdowns in each of his four seasons with the Tigers.
Additionally, he reached a significant career milestone by completing his 100th touchdown pass, a 3-yard throw to Jamauri Chislom, enabling Memphis to extend their lead to 39-18 with just over 10 minutes left in the game.
During the match, Henigan also connected with Landphere for a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter and found Greg Desrosiers Jr. for a 19-yard score in the third. Henigan finished the night with an impressive stat line, completing 23 of 34 attempts for 299 yards. Mario Anderson Jr. contributed significantly to the team’s ground game, rushing for 138 yards on 22 carries, including a touchdown.
On the opposing side, UAB’s Jalen Kitna completed 25 of 43 passes for 253 yards, recording one touchdown along with two interceptions. The victory improved Memphis’ record to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in Conference USA.
