PEORIA, Ill. — In a Saturday evening matchup, Duke Deen contributed 16 points to propel the Bradley Braves to a 76-60 victory over Northern Illinois.
Deen also made his presence felt with five rebounds and five assists, showcasing a well-rounded performance for the Braves, who now stand at 3-1 for the season.
Meanwhile, Darius Hannah had an impressive outing, shooting 7 of 9 from the floor and finishing with 15 points. Zek Montgomery also played a key role, scoring 13 points while shooting 4 of 7 from the field and going a perfect 3 for 3 at the free-throw line.
On the other side, the Huskies (2-2) found their leading scorer in Quentin Jones, who tallied 19 points, alongside two steals and three blocks. Ethan Butler contributed 15 points while Nasir Muhammad added nine to the team’s total.
The game took a decisive turn when Bradley seized the lead with just 6:49 left in the first half and maintained control throughout the remainder of the contest.
