Jackson scores 29 as Purdue Fort Wayne defeats Southern Indiana 93-74

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Jalen Jackson shone brightly for Purdue Fort Wayne, scoring 29 points in their commanding 93-74 victory over Southern Indiana on Saturday night.

Jackson also chipped in with three steals, helping the Mastodons secure the win and improve their record to 3-1 for the season. Rasheed Bello contributed significantly with 18 points, showcasing a solid performance by going 4 for 11 from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, and maintaining a perfect 8 for 8 from the free-throw line.

Quinton Morton-Robertson also made his mark, finishing the game with 12 points, successfully converting 3 of 8 from three-point range and 3 of 4 from the charity stripe.

On the other side, Jared Washington led the scoring for the Screaming Eagles with 19 points. His efforts were supported by Damoni Harrison and Jayland Randall, both of whom added 14 points to the team’s total.

Looking ahead, Purdue Fort Wayne is set to face Penn State on the road this coming Wednesday, while Southern Indiana will host South Dakota next Friday.
