DAYTON, Ohio — In an impressive performance, Javon Bennett scored 16 points to lead the Dayton Flyers to a 76-55 victory over Capital on Saturday evening.
Bennett’s contributions were not limited to just scoring; he also recorded five rebounds and five assists, helping the Flyers secure their fourth consecutive win of the season, bringing their record to 4-0. Amael L’Etang put in a solid effort as well, netting 13 points and securing 10 rebounds while making 6 of his 10 shots, including one from beyond the arc. Jacob Conner added depth to the scoring with 10 points, converting 3 out of 5 field goal attempts and hitting 2 of 4 from three-point range.
For the Crusaders, Daryl Cooper was the standout player, finishing with 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals, demonstrating his all-round capability on the court. Alex Eyink also played a key role for Capital, contributing 14 points along with four assists. Eljae Deas added nine points and two steals, rounding out the efforts for the Crusaders in a challenging matchup.
