BALTIMORE — In a competitive matchup, Saint Peter’s emerged victorious against UMBC with a score of 69-61 on Saturday.
Marcus Randolph was a key player for the Peacocks, contributing 19 points along with six rebounds, helping secure the team’s first win of the season, improving to 1-3.
Bryce Eaton added to the team’s success by scoring 14 points, shooting 50% from the field, including one out of four attempts from behind the arc, and going three for four from the free-throw line.
Armoni Zeigler also made a notable impact, chipping in 12 points and successfully converting five out of his twelve shots, including two of five from three-point territory.
On the other side, the Retrievers, now holding a record of 3-2, saw Bryce Johnson leading their scores with 15 points.
Marlon Short provided a strong performance as well, with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Josh Odunowo contributed with 10 points and two steals, making valuable plays for UMBC throughout the game.
