CHENEY, Wash. — In an impressive display of offensive prowess, quarterbacks Kekoa Visperas, Jared Taylor, and Michael Wortham combined for seven rushing touchdowns while executing a flawless passing game, leading the Eagles to a commanding 77-42 victory over Idaho State on Saturday.

The Eagles, now standing at 4-7 overall and 3-4 within the Big Sky Conference, showcased their dominance by scoring touchdowns on every possession, totaling a remarkable 704 yards of offense. This included a record-setting 478 rushing yards and 37 first downs—just two shy of the program’s all-time record—while attempting only one pass in the second half.

On the other side of the field, the Bengals managed to accumulate 484 yards and achieve 30 first downs but fell short of keeping up with the Eagles’ relentless attack, only managing to punt once and suffering one turnover, along with two unsuccessful fourth-down attempts.

Visperas completed an impressive 14 of 14 passes for 206 yards, which included a 12-yard touchdown connection with Efton Clifton III. Clifton had a standout performance with 12 receptions for 157 yards. Adding to his contributions, Visperas ran for 48 yards, scoring three rushing touchdowns from distances of 7, 3, and 7 yards during the first half, which concluded with the Eagles leading 49-28.

Taylor emerged as a key player, rushing for a career-high of 160 yards and scoring three touchdowns with runs of 12, 4, and 11 yards, all coming in the second half. Wortham also had a notable game, recording 105 yards on five carries, with touchdown runs of 9 and 25 yards in the first quarter. He added a 20-yard completion to Taylor as well.

The Eagles set a new school record for rushing touchdowns by a trio of players, surpassing the previous record of seven. Their total of 11 touchdowns overall ties the school record that was set against Portland State in 2018, although that game saw three missed extra points. Historically, Eastern Washington’s only games with a higher score included victories of 114-0 in 1914 and 84-0 in 1908.

For Idaho State, quarterback Kobe Tracy delivered a solid performance, completing 37 out of 54 passes for 370 yards and four touchdowns. His receiving corps saw solid contributions, with Jeff Weimer making 14 catches for 134 yards, and Christian Fredricksen contributing with nine receptions for 130 yards, including two touchdowns.
