POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, quarterback Collin Hurst led the Presbyterian Blue Hose to a 42-23 victory against the Marist Red Foxes. Hurst showcased his versatility, throwing for three touchdowns and adding another on the ground. However, the surprise moment of the game came right at the beginning, as wide receiver Dominic Kibby threw a stunning 79-yard touchdown pass to Cincere Gill, marking an unexpected start for Marist.

The Red Foxes quickly countered with two touchdowns, although they faced an early setback with a failed PAT on their second score. Hurst then demonstrated his ability to respond, running for a 6-yard touchdown that gave Presbyterian a slim 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Blue Hose began to extend their lead further as Hurst connected with Gill for a 51-yard touchdown pass, bringing the score to 21-13. Following a field goal from Marist, Hurst ended the first half with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Levicki, making the score 28-16.

The second half saw Hurst and Levicki pairing up once more for a 36-yard touchdown, while teammate Worth Warner added a 2-yard rushing touchdown to solidify the Blue Hose’s lead. Marist’s Tristan Shannon managed to conclude the game’s scoring with a 60-yard run, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. The victory improved Presbyterian’s record to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the Pioneer Football League, while Marist fell to 1-10, with a record of 1-7 in the league.
