CORVALLIS, Ore. — In a strong showing on Friday night, Nate Kingz tallied 22 points to lead Oregon State to a 70-51 win over CSU Fullerton.
Kingz also contributed eight rebounds for the Beavers, who maintain an unbeaten record at 4-0. His teammates supported him well, with Michael Rataj scoring 18 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds, and Liutauras Lelevicius adding 12 points on an efficient shooting night, hitting 4 of 8 from the floor, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc.
On the other hand, CSU Fullerton, still seeking their first victory of the season, was paced in scoring by Davis Bynum, who recorded 12 points. Teammates Zach Visentin and Donovan Oday followed closely, each contributing eight points to the Titans’ efforts.
The game began with a competitive first half where Kingz netted nine points, but the Beavers found themselves trailing 32-25 as they headed into the locker room. The second half saw a shift in momentum, as Oregon State launched a 7-0 run that allowed them to take a 49-45 lead with just over eight minutes remaining. Kingz was particularly instrumental in the second half, scoring 13 points to help secure the team’s victory.
Looking ahead, Oregon State is set to host a matchup against Oregon on Thursday, while CSU Fullerton will look to turn their season around at home against Idaho State on Monday.
