TAMPA, Fla. – In a commanding performance Friday night, Jimmie Williams sparked the South Florida Bulls to a 74-55 victory over the West Georgia Wolves, contributing 14 points off the bench.
Williams demonstrated efficiency, making 6 of his 10 shots, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc, while the Bulls improved their record to 2-2. Jamille Reynolds was another key player, finishing the game with 12 points, going 4 of 7 shooting from the floor and a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. In addition to his scoring, Reynolds also pulled down 11 rebounds and registered five blocks, significantly affecting both ends of the court. Brandon Stroud contributed 11 points as well, making 4 of 11 attempts from the field, including 1 of 6 from three-point territory, and converting 2 of 4 free throws.
The Wolves, still searching for their first win of the season with a record of 0-4, were paced by Shelton Williams-Dryden, who led all scorers with 20 points and secured eight rebounds. Kolten Griffin added to the offense with 13 points, while showcasing his versatility with nine rebounds and four assists.
Reynolds had a strong first half, scoring eight points which helped the Bulls establish a commanding 37-24 lead at halftime. South Florida continued to build on their momentum in the second half, pushing their advantage to 53-39, thanks to a 9-0 run. Williams particularly shined in the second half, leading his team with 10 points.
Overall, the Bulls showcased a well-rounded effort, effectively controlling the game and securing their second win of the season.
