PROVIDENCE, R.I. — In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Max Green starred for Holy Cross, leading the team with 25 points in their 82-75 victory over Sacred Heart.
Green also contributed significantly on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds for the Crusaders, who improved their record to 1-2.
Caleb Kenney had a strong performance as well, scoring 16 points and showcasing remarkable shooting skills with 7 of 8 from the field.
Tyler Boston added his contribution with 15 points, hitting 4 of 6 from the field and going 6 for 8 from the free-throw line.
For the Pioneers, who fell to 0-4 this season, Aidan Carpenter was the standout performer, racking up 21 points along with two steals.
Bryce Johnson made a notable contribution too, securing a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Nyle Ralph-Beyer chipped in with 12 points to support the team’s effort.
The first half saw Boston score seven points, allowing Holy Cross to enter halftime with a narrow deficit at 37-35.
However, in an impressive display, Green erupted for 22 points in the second half, helping the Crusaders rally back for the win.
