WICHITA, Kan. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Corey Washington led Wichita State to a 79-73 triumph over Northern Iowa, showcasing an impressive performance with a total of 19 points.
Washington also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing six rebounds during the game. Supporting him were Justin Hill, who added 11 points along with three steals, and Ronnie DeGray III, who chipped in nine points while shooting 3 for 8 from the field, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc, and making 2 of 3 from the free-throw line.
For the Panthers, Jacob Hutson emerged as the standout player, scoring 22 points and recording two steals. Tytan Anderson had a solid all-around game with 12 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, and three blocks, while teammate Ben Schwieger also contributed with another 12 points.
