MIAMI — In a dominating performance, Okechukwu Okeke came off the bench to net 18 points, helping Florida International University (FIU) secure a decisive 110-55 victory over Florida National on Thursday evening.

Okeke was not only an offensive asset but also made an impact on the boards, contributing 10 rebounds for the Panthers, who improved their record to 1-2. Vianney Salatchoum had an impressive outing as well, scoring 16 points on an efficient 7 of 9 shooting, along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Jayden Brewer brought his shooting touch, finishing with 16 points, hitting 5 of 9 from the field, including one 3-pointer out of four attempts, and converting 5 of 6 free throws. He also facilitated his teammates with six assists throughout the game.

On the opposing side, Jeremy Arnum led the Conquistadors with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals, while Cameron Johnson contributed 14 points, four assists, and two blocks for Florida National.
