The Chicago Bears have announced that safety Jaquan Brisker has been placed on injured reserve due to a concussion he suffered.
This marks the third concussion for Brisker over the last three years. He began experiencing symptoms following the Bears’ victory against Carolina in Week 5. Since then, he has not participated in four consecutive games, and being placed on IR means he is set to miss at least four more. The 25-year-old Brisker has had a notable season, contributing with 40 tackles, one interception, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble, which all reflect his involvement as a key player since being drafted by Chicago in 2022.
Additionally, in the latest updates concerning player injuries, defensive end Montez Sweat practiced on a limited basis Thursday after he did not take part in the previous day’s training due to an ankle injury.
With a challenging season thus far, the Bears hold a record of 4-5 and have faced setbacks, losing their last three games. This Sunday, they will be going up against their long-time rivals, the Green Bay Packers, who currently sit with a 6-3 record.
