Alem Huseinovic was a standout for the Owls, contributing 15 points to the team’s success. Huseinovic demonstrated excellent shooting skills, hitting 5 of 7 attempts from the field, including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc.
In addition to Huseinovic’s efforts, Trae Broadnax made a significant impact by scoring 14 points and providing seven assists. Caden Powell also played a critical role, registering nine points through a shooting line of 1 of 3 from the field and 7 of 12 from the free-throw line, along with eight rebounds. The Owls improved their record to 2-1 with this win.
The Warhawks, whose record now stands at 1-3, were led by Jalen Bolden, who scored 12 points and secured eight rebounds during the game. Jacob Wilson matched Bolden’s scoring with 12 points while also making four steals. Additionally, Makai Willis contributed to the team’s effort with 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
During the second half, Rice significantly widened their lead, executing an impressive 11-2 run that gave them a comfortable 20-point advantage, cementing their victory.
