In a competitive matchup on Tuesday evening, Providence secured a victory over Hampton, winning 60-51, with both Jayden Pierre and Joseph Bensley contributing 13 points each for the Friars.

Pierre also made his mark on the boards, grabbing six rebounds to aid Providence in their win, improving their record to 3-0 this season. Bensley had a mixed shooting night, completing 3 of his 13 attempts from the floor, including 3 of 11 from beyond the three-point line. His offensive contributions were underscored by effective free-throw shooting, going 4 for 5, and he dished out five assists.
