Fairfax, Virginia – In an impressive performance, Darius Maddox netted 20 points as George Mason University triumphed over Stony Brook with a resounding score of 94-56 on Monday night.

Maddox was efficient from the field, making 5 of his 8 attempts, including 2 out of 5 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he was exceptional at the charity stripe, converting 8 of 9 free-throw attempts. The Patriots improved to a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. Giovanni Emejuru also made a significant contribution, scoring 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Zach Anderson played a notable role as well, with 15 points, hitting 5 out of 10 from the field, of which 5 were made from three-point range, and secured seven boards.

The second half saw George Mason widen the gap significantly, launching a dominant 15-0 run that expanded their lead from 22 to an astonishing 37 points. Maddox showcased his scoring ability in the latter half, finishing with a team-leading 16 points.
