MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks have announced that guard Damian Lillard will not participate in the upcoming game against the Toronto Raptors due to being placed in concussion protocol. This update regarding the seven-time All-NBA player’s condition was shared by the team on Monday.

At 34 years old, Lillard is currently putting up impressive stats, averaging 26 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. His absence will impact the Bucks, who are already struggling without three-time All-Star Khris Middleton. Middleton has yet to make an appearance in the 2024-25 season as he is recovering from surgeries on both ankles.

Additionally, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as probable for the game as he deals with right patella tendinopathy. His status for the game remains uncertain. The team is also monitoring Andre Jackson Jr. (who is dealing with a left hip pointer) and Gary Trent Jr. (who is experiencing lower back spasms), both of whom are probable to play.

Tuesday’s matchup will feature two teams struggling so far this season. The Bucks enter the contest with a record of 2-8 and have lost their last two games. Meanwhile, the Raptors sit at 2-9 and are currently on a four-game losing streak, vying for a much-needed win.
