In a commanding performance on Sunday evening, Cal Poly triumphed over Menlo College, an NAIA team, with a score of 99-66 at home in San Luis Obispo.
Jarred Hyder led the Mustangs with an impressive 19 points, contributing significantly to the team’s first victory of the season, bringing their record to 1-2.
Hyder also notched up six rebounds and five assists, showcasing his all-around play.
Other notable contributors included Peter Bandelj, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds, and Mac Riniker, who had an efficient outing, finishing with 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting from the floor.

On the other side of the court, Menlo was bolstered by Preston Le Gassick, who led his team’s scoring with 13 points, also adding five assists and two steals to his performance.
Nick Davidson made an impact with 12 points and recorded four steals, while Landon Seaman chipped in with nine points for the Oaks.
