Oklahoma City Thunder forward Chet Holmgren exited the game against the Golden State Warriors early on due to a concerning injury to his right leg or hip.
Holmgren was attempting to block a layup by Andrew Wiggins when he fell hard to the ground, prompting a lengthy delay as he remained there before being assisted off the court without putting weight on his affected leg.
As a notable player, Holmgren was recognized as the runner-up for Rookie of the Year in the previous season and has shown impressive performance this year.
He entered the matchup averaging 18.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game, contributing with four rebounds in just five minutes of play before his injury.
The Thunder, who are known for their depth, now find themselves with a weakened frontcourt.
Holmgren had transitioned to the center position due to the absence of Isaiah Hartenstein, who is out with a fractured left hand.
Additionally, the team is also without forward/center Jaylin Williams, who is dealing with a right hamstring injury, and guard/forward Kenrich Williams, who has a right knee issue.
