Vermillion, South Dakota – In a decisive matchup on Sunday, South Dakota’s basketball team showcased a strong performance, triumphing over Mount Marty with a score of 77-47.
Leading the charge for the Coyotes was Shey Eberwein, who scored an impressive 15 points. Eberwein demonstrated his shooting prowess by making 5 of his 9 attempts, including hitting 3 out of 6 from beyond the arc, and converted 2 of 3 attempts from the free-throw line.
Alongside Eberwein, Isaac Bruns contributed significantly with 11 points, shooting 5 for 11 overall and sinking 1 of 4 attempts from three-point territory while also grabbing five rebounds. Quandre Bullock also made his mark on the game, finishing with a total of 10 points.
For Mount Marty, Tash Lunday was among the top performers, racking up seven points and matching that with seven rebounds. Additionally, Sutton Arend also added seven points for the Lancers, while Jake Jensen chipped in with six points to support his team.
This victory improves South Dakota’s record to 3-0, as they continue to build momentum in the early part of the season.
