Democratic Representative Greg Stanton has secured his reelection for a U.S. House seat in Arizona.
On Sunday, Stanton triumphed over Republican challenger Kelly Cooper, allowing him to continue representing the state’s 4th District, which encompasses the suburbs of Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler located near Phoenix.
A former mayor of Phoenix, Stanton has been serving in Congress since 2019, after taking over the position from Kyrsten Sinema, who moved on to serve as Arizona’s U.S. Senator.
The results were confirmed with Stanton being declared the victor at 2:20 p.m. EST.
