GQEBERHA, South Africa — In an exciting contest on Sunday, Tristan Stubbs showcased his skills with a composed innings of 47 not out off 41 deliveries, leading South Africa to a thrilling victory over India by three wickets in the second match of their Twenty20 series. This win enabled South Africa to level the four-match series at 1-1.

Stubbs received crucial support from Gerald Coetzee, who contributed 19 not out from just nine balls. Together, they formed an unbroken partnership of 42 runs off 20 balls for the eighth wicket that ultimately guided the Proteas to their target.

Even though Varun Chakravarthy delivered an impressive performance, taking 5 wickets for just 17 runs in four overs, it was not enough to secure a win for India. South Africa finished their innings at 128-7 in 19 overs.

Earlier in the match, South Africa won the toss for the second consecutive time and decided to field first. India struggled to put runs on the board, managing only 124-6 in their 20 overs, with Hardik Pandya being the standout performer for the team, scoring 39 not out off 45 balls.

India had previously claimed victory in the first T20 match held in Durban by a substantial margin of 61 runs. The teams will next face off in the third match scheduled to take place in Centurion on Wednesday.
