ROME — Roma’s season took another troubling turn as they fell to Bologna with a scoreline of 3-2 in a home match on Sunday, leading to the dismissal of coach Ivan Juric.

Shortly after the defeat, Roma made the announcement regarding Juric’s termination, marking the second coaching change the club has experienced this season.

Juric had taken over managerial duties from the well-liked Daniele De Rossi in September but was unable to produce the desired results for the club.

Currently, Roma stands in 12th place in the league, precariously just four points above the relegation zone.

Bologna maintained control throughout the match, with goals scored by Santiago Castro, Riccardo Orsolini, and Jesper Karlsson. Roma’s Stephan El Shaarawy struck twice in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

Frustration was palpable among some Roma supporters, as a portion of them chose to leave the Stadio Olimpico before the final whistle.

In other Serie A action, Atalanta and Fiorentina both recorded victories that brought them level on points with league leaders Napoli, who were set to clash with defending champions Inter Milan later that Sunday.

Atalanta secured a 2-1 victory over Udinese, aided by an unfortunate own-goal from Isaak Toure, while Fiorentina triumphed over Hellas Verona with a solid 3-1 performance featuring a hat trick from Moise Kean.

Additionally, Lazio had the chance to join the top teams if they could secure a win against Monza ahead of the highly anticipated Inter-Napoli fixture.
