ROME — In a significant move, Roma has parted ways with coach Ivan Juric, marking the team’s second coaching change of the current season. This decision followed a disappointing 3-2 defeat at home against Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.
Juric, who took over the coaching responsibilities from fan-favorite Daniele De Rossi in September, was unable to spark a turnaround for the struggling club. Currently, Roma is lingering in 12th place, precariously positioned just four points above the relegation zone.
In a statement, the club expressed its gratitude towards Juric for his efforts during a challenging period. “We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks,” Roma’s announcement conveyed. “He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for that we are grateful. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Roma has already begun the search for a new head coach, stating that fans can expect an announcement soon. Among the names circulating as potential candidates are seasoned managers Claudio Ranieri and Roberto Mancini. The club may also consider bringing back De Rossi, who remains under contract with them, after he was appointed to replace Jose Mourinho earlier this year.
