NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — In their season opener, the Merrimack Warriors secured a 65-51 victory over the Vermont Catamounts, highlighted by Adam Clark’s impressive performance. Clark tallied 19 points, contributing significantly to the team’s success on Saturday night.
In addition to his point total, Clark showcased his versatility by grabbing six rebounds, distributing six assists, and making three steals. Fellow teammate Sean Trumper also made notable contributions, scoring 11 points while shooting 5 of 11 from the field and pulling down seven rebounds. Matt Becht matched Trumper’s point total with 11 of his own, hitting three shots from beyond the arc on his way to a 3 of 7 shooting performance from 3-point range.
On the opposing side, Vermont’s top performer was TJ Long, who scored 22 points and recorded two steals. His effort kept the Catamounts competitive throughout the game. TJ Hurley added to the team’s scoreline with 11 points and also contributed two steals, while Noah Barnett added five points to the team’s total.
