Lamagea McDowell made significant contributions by rushing for two touchdowns, ensuring that Prairie View A&M maintained the lead throughout the contest.

The game kicked off with Guillermo Garcia Rodriguez successfully making a 44-yard field goal, giving the Panthers an early 3-0 lead with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Shortly afterward, Johnson connected on a spectacular 70-yard touchdown pass to James Burns, further extending their advantage.

Florida A&M’s Cameron Gillis managed to score a 41-yard field goal late in the first quarter, putting the Rattlers on the board. However, just before halftime, Prairie View A&M increased their lead to 17-3 when Freddie Byrd III intercepted a pass from Junior Muratovic and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown.

The third quarter saw Florida A&M regroup, as Gillis converted a 28-yard field goal, followed by Muratovic completing a 7-yard touchdown pass to Jamari Gassett. Although the extra point attempt was blocked, the Rattlers narrowed the gap to 17-12, creating a tense atmosphere in the game.

Despite the Rattlers’ efforts, Prairie View A&M secured their victory with McDowell’s impressive rushing performance, scoring touchdowns on two separate drives just before the final stretch of the game. Muratovic finished with 150 passing yards, along with one touchdown and two interceptions in a challenging outing for Florida A&M.
