NEW YORK — In a commanding performance, Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa led the Columbia Lions to an 83-62 victory over Delaware State on Saturday, contributing 19 points to the team’s success.
De La Rosa also secured six rebounds, showcasing his versatility on the court.
Zine Eddine Bedri supported the effort by scoring 14 points, having a stellar shooting day with 4 out of 5 from the field and making 6 out of 8 from the free-throw line.
Blair Thompson added to the Lions’ offensive output with 12 points, successfully hitting 3 of 10 shots, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, and he also grabbed 11 rebounds.
On the opposing side, Kaseem Watson led the Delaware State Hornets with 16 points, along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Martez Robinson contributed significantly to the Hornets’ efforts by scoring 15 points while also providing seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Additionally, Alston Andrews chipped in with six points and seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against the Lions.
