— In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Myles Corey led the South Alabama Jaguars to a 70-64 victory over Nicholls State.
Corey had an impressive performance with 18 points, and he also made significant contributions with six rebounds and eight assists for the Jaguars, who now hold a record of 1-1 for the season.
Dylan Fasoyiro added to the team’s success by scoring 17 points, shooting 4 for 10 from the floor, which included a solid 3 for 8 from beyond the arc, and 6 for 8 from the free-throw line.
Additionally, Judah Brown made his mark on the game with 15 points, achieving a shooting percentage of 5 for 9 overall, including an excellent 5 for 8 from 3-point territory.
On the opposing side, the Colonels of Nicholls State struggled to find their stride, with Ike Cornish leading his team by scoring 18 points.
Brian Myles was another key player for Nicholls, contributing 17 points along with six rebounds.
With this latest defeat, the Colonels’ record now stands at 0-2.
