KINGSTON, R.I. — In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Rhode Island triumphed over Holy Cross with a score of 91-77, supported by an impressive performance from David Green, who contributed 25 points to the winning team.

Green showcased his shooting prowess, hitting 8 of 12 attempts from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, and achieving a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line. His strong performance was complemented by Javonte Brown, who added 18 points to the Rams’ tally, shooting 8 of 9 from the field and 2 of 5 from the charity stripe, and also securing six rebounds. Meanwhile, Jaden House contributed significantly with 17 points, shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line, in addition to grabbing eight rebounds.

On the opposing side, the Crusaders struggled but received a standout performance from Joe Nugent, who scored 27 points and pulled down six rebounds. Max Green provided additional support with 13 points, while Tyler Boston contributed 12 points and five assists.

Despite David Green’s strong start with 12 points in the first half, Rhode Island found themselves trailing 44-40 at halftime. However, the second half saw a dramatic shift when Rhode Island went on a 13-1 run, establishing a commanding 16-point lead at 91-75 with just 18 seconds remaining, effectively sealing their victory.
