SAN ANTONIO — Jordan Pyke delivered an impressive performance, scoring 22 points to lead the Incarnate Word team to a commanding 97-53 victory over Southwestern (Texas) on Friday night.
In addition to his scoring, Pyke contributed five rebounds, showcasing his all-around abilities for the Cardinals, who now hold a record of 1-1. Dylan Hayman also had a significant impact on the game, netting 17 points and adding six rebounds and four steals to the mix. Davion Bailey had a solid outing as well, shooting 40% from the field with four successful shots out of ten attempts, including two out of four from long range. He also made all five of his free throw attempts, finishing the game with 15 points, and recorded three steals.
On the opposing side, the Pirates struggled offensively, with Jared Robins and Aedan Lewis stepping up as the top scorers, each contributing nine points.
This game showcased Incarnate Word’s dominance, reflecting a strong overall team effort and effective execution on both offense and defense against their rivals.
