LAFAYETTE, La. — In an impressive performance on Thursday evening, Koron Davis scored 24 points to lead the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns to a decisive 82-65 victory over Texas-Dallas.
The Ragin’ Cajuns, with this win raising their record to 1-1 for the season, also saw significant contributions from Mostapha El Moutaouakkil, who netted 16 points while demonstrating efficiency on offense, shooting 5 of 8 from the floor and converting 6 of 7 free throw attempts.
Additionally, Kentrell Garnett played a crucial role in the team’s success, contributing 11 points, achieving 3 of 5 shooting overall, including 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, and going 4 of 6 from the foul line.
On the opposing side, Peyton Dulin was the standout player for the Texas-Dallas Comets, delivering a strong performance with 25 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
Jordan Balderaz also made his mark on the game, adding 11 points along with two steals for the Comets, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Ragin’ Cajuns’ commanding play.
