FARGO, N.D. — The Illinois State Redbirds secured a victory against North Dakota State, emerging triumphant with a score of 77-68 on Thursday evening.
Johnny Kinziger was a standout performer for the Redbirds, contributing significantly with 20 points. He demonstrated accuracy, converting 6 of 11 attempts from the field, which included a commendable 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, and was perfect at the free-throw line, sinking all 6 attempts. His teammate, Ty Pence, also had a notable game, finishing with 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting and going 3 for 3 from the charity stripe. Pence further made his mark on the boards, contributing seven rebounds to the team’s efforts. Chase Walker rounded out the scoring for Illinois State with eight points and added a commendable 10 rebounds, shooting 3 of 9 from the field.
For the Bison, Jacari White led the scoring with an impressive 27 points. Tajavis Miller contributed 10 points, and Jacksen Moni played a well-rounded game, scoring nine points while contributing five assists and recording two blocks.
