Pakistan chooses to bowl after winning the toss in the second ODI versus Australia.

ADelaide, Australia – In the second one-day international match against Australia held at Adelaide Oval on Friday, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field.

For Australia, the lineup saw one change as fast bowler Josh Hazlewood stepped in for Sean Abbott. This adjustment comes after Australia’s narrow victory over Pakistan by two wickets earlier in the week.

Captain Pat Cummins aims to secure the series with a win, as it would lead into the final match set to take place in Perth on Sunday. However, Australia will be without five key players in the upcoming encounters due to rest ahead of a five-test series against India, commencing on November 22 in Perth.

To fill the gap, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis has been designated as the interim captain for the last ODI in Perth. He is set to also lead the squad for the following three T20 matches against Pakistan, with both Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head on paternity leave.

On the side of Pakistan, they maintained the same team as the previous match where they came close to securing an upset victory. Fast bowler Naseem Shah has recovered from cramps and is fit to play, continuing Pakistan’s strategy with a quartet of pace bowlers, prominently featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.
