HAMDEN, Conn. — Quinnipiac secured a comfortable victory over WPI, with a decisive 71-47 scoreline on Thursday evening.
Paul Otieno stood out for the Bobcats (1-1), contributing significantly with 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Amarri Tice also played a crucial role, scoring 13 points on an efficient shooting performance, including 3 of 6 from the field. He shot 1 for 4 from beyond the arc and was successful with 6 of his 8 free throw attempts while adding five rebounds to his tally.
Jaden Zimmerman added to the offense, finishing with 13 points by shooting 5 of 8 from the floor, which included a solid 2 for 3 from three-point range.
On the other hand, the Engineers saw Aidan Callahan contribute nine points to their cause. Both Jack Bleier and Justin Molen chipped in with seven points each for WPI.
Quinnipiac’s balanced scoring and sturdy defense allowed them to pull away and control the game, leading to their victory.
