BALTIMORE – In a notable development for the Cincinnati Bengals, wide receiver Tee Higgins was ruled out for the Thursday night match against the Baltimore Ravens due to a quadriceps injury.
This marks the third consecutive game that Higgins has missed; he previously made an impact in their last encounter with the Ravens, where he scored two touchdowns despite the Bengals’ loss.
Alongside Higgins, the Bengals also declared a number of players inactive, including wide receiver Charlie Jones, running back Kendall Milton, defensive end Cedric Johnson, tackle Orlando Brown Jr., and tight end Tanner McLachlan.
On the Ravens’ side of things, several players were also sidelined for the game. This list included cornerbacks Jalyn Armour-Davis and Tre’Davious White, running back Rasheen Ali, linebacker Adisa Isaac, center Nick Samac, tight end Isaiah Likely, and defensive end Brent Urban.
In a positive twist for Baltimore, running back Keaton Mitchell was activated for this game, marking his first action since suffering a knee injury back in December.
Higgins’ absence comes on the heels of an earlier injury struggle this season, where he also missed two games due to a hamstring issue. So far this season, Higgins has recorded 29 catches for a total of 341 yards.
This situation adds to the intrigue surrounding the Bengals as they navigate player injuries while seeking to remain competitive on the field.
