Thomas Sorber had an impressive performance, contributing 20 points along with 13 rebounds, solidifying his dominance in the match.
Micah Peavy also played a pivotal role for the Hoyas, scoring 20 points and showcasing excellent shooting stats with 8 out of 13 from the field, although he struggled beyond the arc, going 0 for 3.
He was perfect from the free-throw line, sinking all four attempts. Jayden Epps added to the scoring frenzy with 17 points, hitting 6 of 11 shots overall, including three 3-pointers out of six attempts, and going 2 for 4 from the charity stripe.
On the other side, the Mountain Hawks, now 0-2 for the season, received a standout effort from Keith Higgins Jr., who led his team with 22 points.

A decisive 10-0 run at the end of the first half allowed Georgetown to establish a five-point lead heading into the break.
Peavy was the top scorer of the first half with 18 points to his name.
The turning point came when Epps hit a crucial 3-pointer with 12:57 remaining in the second half, giving Georgetown a lead they would maintain until the final buzzer at 56-54.
