Early Wednesday morning, two police officers in Kentucky were shot and wounded at a mental health facility.

According to a spokesperson for the Bowling Green police, Ronnie Ward, the officers were being treated at a local hospital, and their injuries are not deemed life-threatening.

The incident occurred at the LifeSkills Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is known for providing care to individuals dealing with severe mental health issues, as stated on the center’s website.

Details surrounding the shooting remain sparse at this time, and the investigation is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.
