Democratic Representative Linda Sánchez successfully secured reelection to her U.S. House seat on Wednesday, maintaining her position in California.
Sánchez triumphed over Republican contender Eric Ching, who serves as a councilman for Walnut city.
As a long-standing member of Congress, Sánchez has dedicated over twenty years to her role and is an active participant on the House Committee on Ways and Means.
Her district, the 38th Congressional District, encompasses several communities within both Los Angeles and Orange counties.
In addition to her legislative work, Sánchez is known for her role as a co-founder of the Congressional Labor Caucus and has a background as a labor attorney.
