Democrat Herb Conaway secured a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for New Jersey on Wednesday.
He emerged victorious against Republican Rajesh Mohan along with several other contenders in the 3rd District, which came open following the decision of Democratic Rep. Andy Kim to pursue a Senate seat.
With a background as a former state lawmaker and veteran of the Air Force, Conaway boasts qualifications in both medicine and law.
