Riley had an impressive shooting performance, making 10 out of 18 attempts from the floor, which included sinking 3 of 9 from beyond the arc.
He also converted 3 of 4 free throws.
Malik Thomas contributed significantly as well, adding 23 points to the scoreboard, shooting 6 of 12 from the field, including 1 of 4 from 3-point territory, and excelling at the free-throw line with 10 of 12.
He also recorded five steals during the game.
Marcus Williams rounded out the top scorers for San Francisco with 14 points; he managed to shoot 4 of 8 overall, including 2 from 5 outside the arc, and was successful in 4 of 5 attempts from the free-throw line.
Cal Poly’s Jarred Hyder was the top scorer for his team, finishing the match with 19 points.
Owen Koonce supported with 18 points, while Kieran Elliott made his mark with 13 points and grabbed six rebounds.
In the first half, San Francisco established a solid 31-21 lead thanks to a remarkable 16-0 scoring run.
Thomas helped boost the team with nine points in the first half, enabling San Francisco to head into halftime with a slight advantage of 39-35.
The critical moment came in the final moments of the second half when Riley’s free throw at 6:51 sealed the lead for San Francisco at 65-64, ensuring they would not look back from that point onward.
