Democratic Representative Chris Pappas has successfully secured reelection to his U.S. House seat representing New Hampshire, as of this Tuesday.
Pappas is set to begin his fourth term, having taken over the position from fellow Democrat Carol Shea-Porter in 2018.
The eastern district of New Hampshire has attracted significant attention from Republican challengers since GOP Representative Frank Guinta lost to Shea-Porter back in 2016.
In the 2020 election, this district was won by Democrat Joe Biden, while Donald Trump had previously carried it in the 2016 elections.
This year, Pappas faced competition from former executive council member Russell Prescott, who represented the Republican Party.
The news outlet announced Pappas’ victory at 11:42 p.m. EST, confirming his continued representation in Congress.
