Democratic Representative Chrissy Houlahan successfully secured reelection to represent Pennsylvania’s U.S. House seat on Tuesday evening.
At age 57, she was contesting for her fourth term in a district known for its Democratic support, primarily located in Chester County, a suburb of Philadelphia.
In this election, Houlahan emerged victorious against her Republican opponent, Neil Young.
Previously serving as an engineer in the Air Force and later as an executive in the athletic apparel industry, Houlahan first entered Congress after being elected in 2018.
The announcement of her win came shortly after 11:39 p.m. EST on election night.
