Democratic Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman secured her reelection for a position in the U.S. House, representing New Jersey, during the election held on Tuesday.
Watson Coleman triumphed over Republican Darius Mayfield as well as two other contenders vying for the same seat.
Having previously served as a state lawmaker, she initially captured a seat in New Jersey’s 12th District, encompassing areas like Trenton and Princeton, back in 2014.
The announcement of her victory was made at 9:29 p.m. EST, confirming her ongoing influence in the state’s political landscape.
