Republican Representative Ralph Norman has successfully secured reelection for a U.S. House seat from South Carolina on Tuesday. This congressional district extends from Rock Hill, which is located just south of Charlotte, North Carolina, moving south and eastward to Sumter.

Norman, who previously worked as a real estate developer, has been serving in this position since 2017. He initially won the seat during a special election held to fill the vacancy left by Mick Mulvaney, who took on a role in the Trump administration and ultimately served as White House chief of staff.

In this election, Norman faced off against Democrat Evangeline Hundley, a candidate with a background in real estate and construction. The announcement of Norman’s victory was made at 8:55 p.m. EST.
