WASHINGTON — Democratic Congressman Dwight Evans successfully secured reelection for a U.S. House seat in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
At 70 years old, Evans was seeking his fifth full term in a district that is predominantly Democratic, located in Philadelphia.
In this election cycle, he faced no challengers in the general election, confirming his stronghold in a constituency that has consistently supported him.
Evans made his initial foray into Congress back in 2016 after a distinguished tenure as a state legislator.
Earlier this year, he shared with his constituents that he was on the mend from a minor stroke he experienced in May.
