The Los Angeles Rams have officially traded cornerback Tre’Davious White to the Baltimore Ravens, as reported by a source familiar with the situation.
The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the ongoing completion of the deal between the two teams.
In this exchange, the Rams receive a seventh-round draft pick for 2026 while sending their own seventh-round pick from 2027 to the Ravens.
Tre’Davious White, a two-time Pro Bowl player, has had a disappointing stint with the Rams.
He joined the team after spending seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills on a one-year deal worth $4.25 million as a free agent.
During his time in Los Angeles, White struggled significantly, appearing in just four games during September before being declared inactive for the last four matches.
This decision was made when fellow cornerback Darious Williams returned from injured reserve, pushing White further down the Rams’ cornerback lineup behind starters like Cobie Durant and veteran Ahkello Witherspoon, as well as undrafted rookie Josh Wallace.
Since September 29, White has not played for the Rams, who currently hold a record of 4-4.
Despite the challenges, Rams coach Sean McVay acknowledged White’s professional attitude and stated that they had not anticipated relying on him as much as they did during the initial month of the season.
White’s recent history has been marked by injuries; he suffered a knee ligament tear in late 2021 while with the Bills and later tore his Achilles tendon last season.
Over the past four years, he has been able to participate in only 25 games.
Now moving to Baltimore, White will have an opportunity to contribute to a Ravens team that currently possesses the NFL’s worst-ranked pass defense.
