IRVINE, Calif. — In an impressive season opener, UC Irvine triumphed over Chapman with a commanding score of 82-52, highlighted by a standout performance from Bent Leuchten, who scored 19 points.

Leuchten also contributed seven rebounds, leading the Anteaters (1-0) in an all-around strong showing. Justin Hohn played a crucial role as well, netting 15 points with an efficient shooting performance, going 4 of 9 from the field and 6 of 7 from the charity stripe. Hohn showcased his defensive skills by making five steals throughout the game.

Devin Tillis added to the scoring effort, finishing with 13 points after hitting 5 of 6 attempts from the field. He also secured seven rebounds, solidifying the Anteaters’ dominance in both scoring and rebounding.
