LAS CRUCES, N.M. – In a commanding performance, New Mexico State triumphed over New Mexico Highlands with a score of 93-57 on Monday evening.

Robert Carpenter played a significant role in the victory, contributing 18 points, along with five rebounds and three steals. His efforts were complemented by Christian Cook, who added 15 points to the scoreboard, shooting 5 of 11, including 5 for 9 from beyond the arc. Zawdie Jackson also made his mark, finishing the game with 14 points, shooting 4 for 9 overall, hitting 2 of 3 from three-point land, and converting 4 of 6 from the free-throw line, alongside five assists and four steals.

On the opposing side, the Cowboys were led by Kenard Richardson, who registered 14 points and collected six rebounds. Kyrie Thomas contributed eight points, while KJ LaMonte chipped in with seven points of his own.
