Yale opened their season with a decisive victory over Quinnipiac, winning 88-62 in a game held on Monday night.
John Poulakidas was a standout performer for Yale, contributing 19 points and securing five rebounds.
The Bulldogs also saw impressive performances from Isaac Celiscar, who poured in 18 points with an exceptional shooting performance, hitting 6 out of 8 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing eight rebounds.
Bez Mbeng added to the scoreboard with 17 points, shooting 3 of 7 overall and 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, alongside a strong showing at the line, where he finished 10 for 12.
On the other side, Amarri Tice was the leading scorer for the Bobcats, finishing the night with 23 points and four steals.
His teammate Alexis Reyes contributed 12 points, but their efforts were not enough to challenge the Bulldogs.
With this strong start, Yale sets a positive tone for the rest of the season as they look to build off this momentum.
