BEREA, Ky. — Eastern Kentucky kicked off their season in impressive fashion with a commanding 98-69 victory over Alice Lloyd on Monday night.
George Kimble III was a standout performer, scoring 23 points and also contributing seven assists for the Colonels.
His efforts helped drive the team to a strong start in their campaign.
In support of Kimble, teammates Jordan Crawford and Turner Buttry each added 12 points, showcasing a well-rounded offensive effort.
On the opposing side, the Eagles were led by Ben Soumahoro, who notched 16 points along with three steals, demonstrating defensive prowess as well.
Jared Strickland contributed 15 points for Alice Lloyd, while Landon Napier added 12 points to the team’s total.
